THE COMPANY
Our client, a local construction company based in Shenstone, requires a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent basis.
THE ROLE
Working in a small team, you will be responsible for processing high volumes of purchase invoices and transactions. Accurate and efficient inputting on a daily basis, as well as reconciling supplier statements, will be part of your duties. Matching invoices against delivery notes and serving as a point of contact for supplier queries are also key aspects. Additionally, you will be tasked with chasing unauthorised invoices from branches. During busy periods, you may be required to perform ad-hoc duties such as payment runs, general administration, and CIS payments.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally, you will possess some experience in purchase ledger and a proficient level of Excel. IT literacy and effective communication skills at all levels are essential. Strong and accurate keyboard skills are a must, along with a proactive attitude capable of handling busy times. This role would be suitable for a school/college leaver or university graduate with an interest in accountancy. It presents an excellent opportunity for an entry-level individual. Familiarity with Sage Line 50 is expected.
COMPANY BENEFITS
The company offers favourable working conditions and onsite parking. Working hours are 37.5 hours per week on a flexible basis, Monday to Friday with a ½ hour lunch break. Employees receive 20 days of annual leave plus standard Bank Holidays. The salary range is £24,000 to £28,000. Please note, our client is relocating to Walsall Wood later this year.
