THE ROLE
As a Production Supervisor, you will report to the Production Shift Manager and oversee various responsibilities within the operational framework. These include executing operative duties, ensuring safe food packaging within specified tolerance levels, and training the team to adhere to SOPs. You will actively engage in continuous improvement initiatives, lead a team of 40 staff members, and collaborate closely with other departmental functions to achieve key performance indicators. Key areas of responsibility include maintaining food safety and quality standards, optimising line setups, recording line efficiencies, managing factory trials, overseeing health and safety protocols, and facilitating equipment setup and changeovers. Additionally, you will lead the team, assist the shift manager as needed, prepare for audits and visitor interactions, ensure audit readiness at all times, and be flexible to work in various areas as required. Weekend availability and serving as cover in the absence of the Shift Manager are also part of the role.
