This unique opportunity invites qualified individuals to join as a Materials Scheduling Specialist, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain, and play a significant role in advancing the organization’s strategic objectives in fortifying the materials supply chain and optimising profitability.
THE ROLE
In this exciting role as a Materials Scheduling Specialist, your primary objective is strategic planning and management of crucial materials required for long-term production alignment. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring timely supplier payments, maintaining quality standards, and cost-efficiency. Collaboration with internal departments, coordination of production goals, and proactive tracking of production volumes to prevent waste are central to your responsibilities. Additionally, you will be managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations, overseeing the scheduling of materials across suppliers, sites, and third-party logistics providers.
REQUIREMENTS
To excel in this role, candidates should possess a degree in business, logistics, inventory management, or a related field. A substantial background in material planning, inventory management, or purchasing is essential, coupled with strong organisational and time management skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management, effective communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are prerequisites. Tenacity to treat materials as if they are our own will distinguish successful candidates.
