THE COMPANY
Our client, an established business on the outskirts of Walsall requires a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a permanent contract.
THE ROLE
As a purchase Ledger clerk, you will be responsible for the purchase ledger from start to finish. You will be responsible for accurate and timely registration of all supplier invoices on to the finance computer system, taking calls for the accounts department and answering supplier queries in a timely manner. You will be dealing with all post and emails received into the accounts payable team on a timely basis, raising Head Office orders whenever requested and adhering to applicable cut off procedures. You will identify invoices/accounts which are queried or disputed causing them to be withheld from payment and complete regular detailed supplier statement reconciliations, with follow up with the supplier and/or requisitioner as required. Any ad hoc exercises as directed by the Accounts Payable Manage and Management Accountant.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal experience would be 2 – 3 years knowledge of purchase ledger or high-volume data inputting with a good standard of MS Excel. The ability to effectively communicate at all levels with customers and colleagues both internally and externally. You will be a quick learner with a good eye for detail and above all have fast and accurate keyboard skills.
