They are actively seeking a permanent Quality Assurance Manager.
THE ROLE
As the QA Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the highest standards of quality are consistently achieved within the food production and factory areas. This entails ensuring compliance with health and food safety legal requirements and adhering to GMP standards. You will lead and motivate the Quality Assurance team in monitoring and evaluating product and processing systems. Key accountabilities include understanding and applying relevant standards to achieve and maintain Customer and Legal requirements. This role is pivotal in driving improved GMP Audits across the site.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Food or Science, Level 3 and above in HACCP, Food safety, and other relevant qualifications. You should possess a solid understanding of Beef/meat manufacturing and production processes, along with experience in managing quality functions in fast-paced environments. Familiarity with BRCGS standards, HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene is crucial. Superb attention to detail and an innate ability to identify quality defects, coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively convey quality standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams, are essential. A problem-solving mindset, a hands-on approach to addressing challenges, and proficiency in working efficiently in a busy and noisy manufacturing environment are also desirable.
